Natural Nutrition

After making up my mind that I wanted to lose weight naturally, I went probing for something hassle-free where I didn’t have to count carbs, fat or calories.  But here is the thing: there are so many yo-yo diets, weight-loss products and quick fixes out there it was difficult to get my head around who to believe and what to believe?

Who do I believe?

Anybody that tells you that dieting will help you lose the weight, well they are wrong… According to Eating Disorders Foundation of Victoria ‘recurrent dieting can eventually lead to weight gain’. In addition, 95% of individuals who go on easy weight loss diets get back everything they have lost and more within two years.

There are plenty of people who are going back to the simplicity of natural nutrition and losing weight slowly and successfully. Experts in fitness like Paul Check and Donal Carr are providing portals distributing valuable information about our health, fitness and nutrition and its significant change in modern society. Their sources stem from leading nutritionists like Sally Fallon who have researched, tested and challenged the media and diet dictocrats on politically correct nutrition and how modern food and its harmful processes are creeping into our society causing threatening and unavoidable diseases.

What do I believe?

I believe that the above mentioned experts are right! Truth about how modern nutrition and current food processing is affecting us in ways that we could never have imagined and have triggered diseases like obesity and diabetes. At present in Australia, the overweight and obesity percentage has spiked from 19% to 22 % in the last year-a growing obesity epidemic among adults and increasing among children as well along with its harmful obesity-related illnesses.

Weight Loss and living a healthy lifestyle

At the end, your lifestyle is going to cost you! I realised this when I was not making mature decisions about my mind and body a couple of years ago when I developed all sorts of ailments and gained unnecessary weight. Only now have I become conscious about how important it is to incorporate a balance of exercise, nutrition and positive thinking into ones life.  As a personal trainer I predominantly work with new clients who are battling to lose weight and give up their unhealthy lifestyle. Perhaps you are at this phase-and I can tell you…there is HOPE!!

All it really takes is to find somebody you can trust to help you build the confidence you need to just keep going on. Somebody who can teach you about your body and what you can change in order to achieve the best out of it and to support and inspire you to get your life and fitness back!

When you start understanding the truth of what I am saying for yourself so that you can instil and maintain what you have done into a healthy lifestyle and not just as an extension of yourself but rather something that you can sustain no matter what the season, that is when you really succeed over and above what you expected.
